1950s Novelty Bird Print Dress

An incredible vintage cotton dress featuring one of the best novelty bird border prints.

The fitted bodice is done in fine cream and taupe stripes with contrasting directional stripe panels that create beautiful visual shaping through the waist. Finished with a row of white buttons down the front and short sleeves with turned cuffs.

The full gathered skirt is the real showstopper. Bands of whimsical birds in rich red, brown, rust, mustard, black, and cream circle the skirt, framed by simple taupe stripes. The print includes an assortment of wonderfully stylized birds and gives the dress such a fun mid-century feel.

Condition: good condition with some small little areas spot on the skirt about 1.5 inch long. Very faint and gets hidden in the folds
